When someone I am fond of is being raised to the Order of the Laurel (it's an SCA thing), I like to give them a little gift. In many cases this takes the form of a piece of trim with a design partly based on the narrow band from the Oseberg ship burial. Long term visitors to this little corner of the internet may recognise it as a variation on the
Vines draft I published back in 2018.
It's a very simple weave and will give you a band with the leaf design on both sides. It's not twist-neutral, so turn all the tablets forward together until you have an annoying build-up of twist behind the tablets, then either flip them and continue turning forward or turn them backward to weave it out.
As with all of the free drafts on this site, you are welcome to weave them, sell bands woven using them, and use them to teach other weavers, just as long as you state where you found them.
